The PRETTY line continues to grow

With the da Vinci PRETTY MINT watercolor brush, the popular PRETTY series welcomes its third variant. The fresh mint-green handle color was selected together with the da Vinci community: around 80,000 followers were invited to vote for the new color.

The traditionally buond by hand watercolor brush was specially developed for watercolor painting. Its extra-soft, wavy synthetic fibers combine exceptionally high paint-carrying capacity with pleasant elasticity and a precise point. This makes PRETTY MINT ideal for fine details and controlled lines as well as soft color gradients and generous washes.

The high-quality synthetic fibers are traditionally set in plastic ferrules and connected to the characteristic mint-green handle. The da Vinci PRETTY MINT watercolor brush is available in size 2 and is individually packaged.

Three brushes. One collection.

The da Vinci PRETTY ART SET brings together all three PRETTY brushes in an exclusive watercolor brush set. Different hair lengths and the characteristic colored handles give each brush its own personality and offer versatile possibilities for watercolor painting: from fine details to generous washes and soft color gradients.

Each watercolor brush is traditionally handcrafted and bound with gold wire. Extra-soft, wavy synthetic fibers provide a precise point, high paint-carrying capacity and a pleasantly balanced painting experience. Renowned watercolor artist, author and teacher Rabi Alieva (@rabi__rabi) from Munich is internationally known for her expressive watercolor portraits. In workshops around the world and through her ArtHustle online courses, she shares her passion for watercolor painting and inspires artists to make emotions visible through color.

For Rabi Alieva, watercolor brushes are far more than tools; they are the key to expressive paintings. This is why a signature brush set was developed together with her, precisely tailored to her painting technique. The centerpiece of the set is a specially developed flat watercolor brush in size 16, featuring high-quality CASANEO synthetic fibers and a gold-colored ferrule. It enables bold, broad brushstrokes, generous washes and intentionally visible textures.

The set is complemented by a traditionally hand-bound MIX B wash brush in size 2. Its high paint-carrying capacity and fine point make it ideal for soft color transitions, glazes and precise details.

Developed for floral watercolor painting

The Botanical Leaf & Flower Set was specially compiled for floral and botanical watercolor painting. Three different brush shapes – angled, cat’s tongue and round – offer versatile possibilities for creating flowers, leaves and other botanical motifs.

The carefully coordinated watercolor brushes allow for both fine lines and precise details as well as expressive brushstrokes and softly flowing washes. This makes the set ideal for floral watercolor illustrations, accompanying the entire painting process from the initial shape to the finest detail.

The floral artwork featured on the set was created by Brazilian artist, interior designer and influencer Lu Simão (@lusimaoatelier) Her distinctive botanical visual language gives the Leaf & Flower Set its unique look and connects the brushes with the world of floral watercolor painting.

Together with artist, designer and founder Miriam Schelle (@coloryourlife.online) and her community “Mimis Kreativwelt”, the new Hands on Acrylic brush set was created. For the set, Miriam selected her personal favorite brushes from the da Vinci FORTE series and specifically compiled them to meet the diverse requirements of acrylic painting.

The combination of different brush shapes offers numerous creative possibilities – from precise details and fine lines to expressive brushstrokes and generous areas of color. Whether on canvas, wood or other painting surfaces, the FORTE brushes are suitable for a wide range of acrylic techniques and creative projects.

The practical two-brush set from the GO line

Our proven da Vinci GO line is now also available as a practical two-brush watercolor set. The carefully coordinated brushes combine a fine round brush for precise details with a larger round brush for generous washes and high paint-carrying capacity.

Thanks to the innovative click system, the brushes can be transported compactly and securely, making them ideal for urban sketching, plein-air painting and watercolor painting on the go. The two-brush sets complement the GO series with a versatile, mobile solution for artists who want to work flexibly wherever they are.

A new interpretation of the Japanese Hake brush

With the da Vinci Hake Paddle watercolor brush, we revisit the traditional shape of the Japanese Hake brush and reinterpret it in a contemporary way.

The wide, flat brush features extra-soft, wavy synthetic fibers that absorb particularly large amounts of paint and water and release them evenly. This makes the Hake Paddle ideal for generous washes, soft gradients and expressive brushstrokes. A rust-proof steel ferrule connects the fibers to the ergonomically shaped paddle handle. The laser-engraved grip area provides a comfortable feel, while the wood used comes from European forestry.

The Hake Paddle combines the characteristic broad shape of a traditional Hake brush with modern materials and is suitable for watercolor painting and calligraphy. It is available in size 40.

For creative work on ceramics

The da Vinci ceramic brush set was developed for ceramic decoration and DIY projects. The carefully selected range of different brush shapes enables both fine detail work and broad paint application, providing a versatile foundation for decorative designs on ceramics.

Cleaning and care for artists’ brushes

The da Vinci brush shampoo was developed for the gentle yet thorough cleaning of high-quality artists’ brushes. It is suitable for natural hair, bristle and synthetic brushes, reliably removes paint residues and helps maintain the natural softness and elasticity of the brush hairs and fibers.
